Does anyone know what year of engine i would need to get a head from to replace the one on a GM recall engine.

Are the heads interchangeable between different years?

What year is your engine? Im not sure if that even matters.. Im pretty sure any 2.5 head should work just fine. and there is a host of cars out there with them. Just call a wreckers and ask for a Ol' 2.5l Iron Duke head.

The car is an 84 but as far as I know the engine block and head were replaced in a recall and neither have normal casting numbers.
