Does anyone have a parts list for 1986 that could verify the following
I beleive I have a 4 speed Munice M17 tranny. Sticker under the front hood of the parts car I took it from shows M17. My Chilton's services manual pages 1-52 in Chilton's seems to show the Munice have a dip stick to read oil level and mine does not. The pictures in my books would lead me to believe that it is a 4 speed Isuzu since it have an oil measure on the speedometer fitting.
Part number on my tranny housing is :
# 14073796
My Ponitac dealer can only verify that in 1984 Part # 14079935 - is M19

Thanks for you help

As far as I know
If it is a 4 speed it would have to be a Munice as it is the only 4 speed tranmission that was availiable.

Wil, Are you saying it would have had to be a 5 speed in 1985 to be an Isuzu???

Wil, Great site, thanks!! Ok, so if the 4 speed in 85 on a v6 SE can only be a munice then I just want to verify that the one I have was the orginal and not swapped, like the engine problem you are experiencing.
I hope someone out there can verify the part number I posted.

Thanks again, great stuff.

Phil,
You the man!! Hope you are feeling better. Just checking out the tranny . I saw something in a book that lead me to think it was not a M17. I had no way to cross ref the part number on the case. I guess Mr. Chilton can make mistakes to.
