Hi all,

I just want to know where can I buy an alternator for my fiero GT 85 v6 2.8 car, rigth now its starting to fail on me , I really want to buy a bolt-on alternator (if available) but that can produce about 130, 140 or 160 amps , and if its available online its better for me to order it because of my location Im from Mexico ...

Can someone give me an advice on this please ...

Thanks a lot for your help ...
Ales

I found my 160 amp one on ebay.

They turn up there from time to time.

Check out Chuy's Auto Electric at: http://www.chuysautoelectric.com/
They do great work at very reasonable rates. They will build you an alternator to any specification you want. They hold several patents for building alternators for contractors and RV folks who want to run 120 VAC tools dirctly off the vehicles alternator.

Also available from Summitracing.com or JC Whitney.
BTW, when I called to order a custom alt, they had no listing for a Fiero. I ordered for an '87 Camaro V6 - Same alt size/shape, bolts right in and won't confuse the order desk..

How did you'll handle the larger wire needed for the increased amps? I am in the process of installing one in my RV.

Thanks
