Pardon my ignorance, but I need to know which cars came with the 3800sc? what years and models? also which year is better, and how many generation are there for the 3800Sc.

A little specs on power output, and cost wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks

1992-93:
Park Avenue Ultra, Bonneville
3800 Series I Supercharged, M62 Blower, 205hp / 260tq

1994-95:
Park Avenue Ultra, Bonneville
3800 Series I Supercharged, Modified M62 Blower, 225hp / 275tq

1996
Park Avenue Ultra, Bonneville, Riviera
3800 Series II SC, M90 Blower, 240hp / 280tq

1997-up
Park Avenue, Bonneville, Riviera, Regal, Grand Prix
3800 Series II SC, M90 Blower, 240hp / 280tq

2004-up
Grand Prix Comp-G, perhaps others
3800 Series III SC (L32), 260hp / 280tq

Basically, the series 3 engines would be ideal but good luck finding one at an affordible price. As far as the series 2 engines are concerned I have heard that the 98 and up versions have a little more durable cylinder head casting compared to the 96's and 97's. Stay away from the pre-96 series 1 engines unless you can get a low mile one really cheap; not many aftermarket parts available for these early ones.
