What is the Idle Air Control Sensor, and where is it located on my car?

Thanks,

it is not a sensor, it is a controller.
it is located just below the Throttle Position Sensor on the throttle body. The 2 connectors that go to the throttle body, one is the TPS (3 prong?) and the other one is the AIC (4 prong?)

IAC is 4 prong in a square
