I'm currently replacing the passenger side door glass on my wife's 87'GT. I got a replacement piece window from the local boneyard. When I took the new glass off the donor car I drilled out the rivets holding it in place, now I know I don't have a rivet gun so what would be a good fastener to use to hold it in place? I've thought of a machine screw with nylon lock nut.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Dan

I've used screws and lock nuts on mine. Just be sure the screws aren't too long or they'll hang up when the window is rolled up and down.

Don't over tighten the bolts and every thing should be fine.Almost forgot if you got power windows and door locks don't forget to grease the rod and mechinisms and it will be smoooooooth again.

I used 1/4 -20 X 1 inch to do mine. Make sure you use some lock-tite to keep the nut from coming loose in about 10,000 miles.
