I'am at a loss for ideas. My 85 SE 2.8 the gas pedel sticks when I accelerate, I don't have to depress it all the way either. The only way I can get it to release is to depress the clutch? I have checked the throttle body seems OK, disconnected the cable from the cruse control, checked the cable running past the shifter, how the cable is routed once it enters the engine bay. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem once... I had accelerated away from a light, and when I let off the gas, It kept going! I later found some weird junk floating about behind the dash, and one of the pieces had become stuck underneath the pedal linkage, inside the center console. I was a little worried, but after messing with the pedal a bit, I got the piece unstuck, and the throttle closed.
