The car will have a tendancy to run richer. Alter the timing. I think it would take a long time to learn basic commands.

Not really. Once it hit closed-loop mode, it would be correcting the mixture back to the normal mode. There might be some gain due to a more aggresive spark advance curve or other differences, but personally, I don't think you'd see much.
