well I,ve been away for a while. Now I.m back. finally got a 4.9 long block to put in my little Elenor. What year TBI off of the 4.5 is the best to use on a 4.9 for ease of getting it going? This motor will be mated up to a izusu 5-speed trans. What flywheel and clutch do I use? please advise. -B-

There are better options now other than a 4.5 TBI on a 4.9. Rockcrawl and others have made many advances on the caddy PROM and ecm. We have also had great results with MPI using the stock caddy injectors and a 730 ecm in our cadero.

well the craze is either carb or try to rig the pfi up to work. I would much rather stick on a tbi and have a running car than a craze trying to get anything else to work.
