Ok this is getting frustrating. My tach reads 10% high all the time, I have even changed tachs to make sure it is not the tach itself but both seem to read high the exact same amount. Here is the setup
85GT with 86-88GT Tach
MSD 6AL Ignition
Aftermarket Tach Filter
Aside from that everything else is factory. At 1000 rpms it reads 1100 and I can deal with that, but at 6000rpms it is reading 6600, and 5000 it is 5500, it is in the higher range that it bothers me. I have checked this with a timming light that reads RPM's and have my rpm redline chip for 6000 and it cuts out at 6600rpms always. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why it does this.
