My rings are going bad in a deamante I'm buying. It leaves out a little puff a smoke when you first accelerate. He said it goes through a court of oil about every 5 to 6 hundred miles. Is thier anything out on the market for me to put in that will help slow the process? I'm not real worried about it. I had a honda civic that was alot worse and I delivered a pizza in that thing forever. lol I don't plan on putting anywhere near the miles on this that I put on that honda.

Yep, heard that works, but also you can put very heavy oil in it like SAE50. The thicker it is....the less it will use.

Try Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer
http://www.lucasoil.com/

I've used it (not in my fiero though) and been pleased with the results. I've also used Lucas Transmission Fix in my '68 Camaro's powerglide transmission, and it improved the performance and eliminated a very pesky leak (that the GM Goodwrench Automatic Transmission Conditioner couldn't stop).

I'd definitely try the oil stabilizer. Never seen a lucas product that didn't work!
