How important are the wire clips that hold the inner brake pad to the caliper piston? NAPA does not have a seperate listing for them.

Considering they hold the pads on, pretty important.

The Fiero Store has them.

You do need them to position the pad, actually my right rear has one of the four tabs broken off and the clips werent in the caliper rebuild kit, and ive been driving like that with no problems (but next time im at a wreckers i will find a new clip)

The clip should be included in a hardware kit for the caliper. At least Auto Zone I think has it in theirs.

Ogre has good brake info in his cave. I think he says always use the clips to reduce drag.

The inner brake pads will rattle if the clips are not installed or not correctly installed.
