What size is the Torx screw that holds the parking brake cable bracket to the rear caliper? T25,T27,T30 or T40?

Hmm.. I don't know that one off hand. I never had a reason to take that thing off..

But just for the record, the caliper bolts are a T-50.

Pretty sure it is a T-40.

You have to remove the bracket when you replace the caliper and the replacement doesn't have the bracket. I posted some info here if you can't get the screw to budge.
e-brake bracket and leak (caliper)

hmm... my 86 GT took a 45(torx).. seemed kinda loose, my 47(torx) was a perfect fit.

Coincidentally, its the same size needed to take off the seatbelts.

Well mine was a T-40.

Make sure you get a good torx bit (the cheap ones don't work on these). I ended up bending the teeth on 2 T40 bits (made by great neck) trying to get my passenger side bracket off (never got it off nor could autozone) now i'm searching for a new bracket!

Just make sure you get a quality bit!!!

Good luck!

I believe the bracket is held on by a T-25. (or chisel driver ) The caliper attaches in position over the rotor with T-45's.
I hope this will clear the confusion.

Assuming OE spec parts,

84-87 caliper mounting bolt, T50.
84-87 E brake cable bracket, T40.

I just double checked the bracket bolts against the set on my shelf.

If yours has rusted then a bigger one might fit better.

If you can't get the bolt out, cut/drill the head off and leave it for the rebuilder. They have expensive tools just for this type of problem.
