You've GOT to use the proper urethane windshield adhesive. Major safety issue here. If you ever got into an accident and lost the glass and it hit you or someone else you could be held liable. Nasty!

don't use the butyl tape sealer,

Just call up an installer and have them do it for you.
I have had it done for $20.00 My installer states the tubes of urathane should be heated to ease install and the price you would pay per tube would probably cost more than the $20.00 install price.

3M makes a sealer in a caulking tube just for this purpose. Used it for years.....not cheap....but great stuff.

I got two tubes from the local glass shop. ask for the black urathane for windshields. It comes in a tube that fits in a chalking gun. heat it...hell yes! other than that, very easy to do. Watch out!! the windshield will crack *VERY* easy.

If you do it yourself, get some disposeable latex gloves because the urethane is a pain to get off your skin! A little spot of it will spread when you try to get it off.
