OK, anyone have these? What is your review of them?
Did the T.body and intake manifold give any noticeable kick?
Same for the exhaust manifold?
Any AutoXers have the rear strutbar, did you notice any difference?
Oh, also the aluminum cradle mounts! Anyone have experience with this?

I'm likely going to be ordering these (and more) in the next day or two.

THANKS!

Strutbar? on a Fiero?

I have never seen an autocrosser use one. The Fiero is quite a rigid chassis , not some rice rocket that requires strengthening when high hp levels are reached.

I would skip it , seems like a gimic. I believe we had a conversation about this a while back onthe fiero racing list. Look at Cadero's old Quad 4 , more than likley one of the lightest , fastest Fiero's out there , didn't see any strutbar on that puppy.

I've got 'em all- and a friend of Darrell's too!

The intake & TB is supposed to increase airflow by 15% (?) and is noticable.

As to the strut brace. 1st of all, it looks awsome! As to whether or not it does anything... seat-o-pants meter notices some changes in handling. Although not drastic. Really for you to decide. But you can't come by many vendors like Darrell (except those of the likes of Archie, Rodney, etc...)

I have the T body, plenum and aluminum cradle bushings. By the ass-o-meter, can't say, as it isn't on the road yet.(I do smile a lot sitting in it). The workmanship is top notch, though, and they do look fantastic. The strut bar is probably purely a cosmetic thing. However, I've seen a lot worse things that people hang on their cars.

Darrell is at MORSE86@aol.com

He's listed on this site's Vendors page.

"Bored out throttle body and plenum (57 MM), Strut tower brace, Solid aluminum cradle mounts for 84-87 Fiero's"
He's also doing dogbones now.

I, like Minn Green, am also a friend of Darrells and I have his bored out t-body and upper plenum. There's a very notable increase in acceleration and his workmanship is topnotch. Those ported exhaust manifolds that were at the NIFE meeting were done by him so you could see the fine workmanship he puts into them. The ones in this pic are coated with the ceramic coating but not by Darrell so don't expect them to be shiny like this if you order them from him but this pic does show the fine porting he does on the exhaust manifolds.
