Prowling around in a j/y today, I ran across a 3300 in an early '90s model Cutlass S Calais. 3300 was very prominently engraved on the intake as is our "Fiero" logo.

Now to the question. We often discuss 2.8 (or 2.9 from Ed Parks), 3.1, 3.4, 3800(+) and up. What is the problem with a 3300?

A 3300 is essentially a destroked 3800, so it would require the same modifications to install as a 3800, but with less displacement and power.

yeah, it's a 90* v6. Just as much work to swap as the 3800, but with less power. Not worth it.. unless it runs really good and you can get it for under 10 bucks

Yes the 2.8,3.1,3.4 are all members of the 60 degree family, where 3300,3800 are 90 degree engines.

The 90 are a little more stout, design is based on small blck chevy i think.
I have one in my fiero check this topic

My parents used to have a '92 Buick Century Wagon with the 3300 V6 in it. It was rated at 160 HP, I believe. Not a bad engine, of course it was in a station wagon though
