Does anyone think its possible to stick this twin turbo 350 in the fiero www.grapeaperacing.com. And is there a tranny that could hold that much power? I don't even think the NSX tranny that I am looking at could handle it.

The way the turbos are mounted it looks like a packaging problem in the Fiero engine bay.
V8 Archie would be the person who would know about a V8 turbo swap.

Design One also offers a twin turbo Northstar package. This is a very expensive swap.

You would probably be better off with a purpose built automatic to efficiently handle that kind of power.

If you got it to fit(doubt it will) you'll definetly need a stronger transaxle... and I don't think any transaxle will handle that much HP and torque.

Arn't twin turbo setups mostly for making more low end power? If so low end power isn't msut of an issue with a 350. I would think one big turbo would almost be allot easier then twins on a 350, and probably more powerfull.
Look at the MK4 supra guies. Allot of them are geting rid of twin setups for 1 big turbo. Inline 6's dont lack low end power either... But thats a diff topic

Wow Rick88 you live in El Paso. I live about 45 minutes away from you. I have a question for you, have you been to any of the junkyards in El Paso, if so did they have any fieros?

Some of the old muscle cars used to have 600+hp, surely there are some trannys that will take that much power...........

Sounds to me like the first problem is the clutch. The transmission can handle a lot of the performance you want, but most people ***** about the clutch.

Archie has pics of a 10 second Fiero w/a V8 running a built T125 Automatic Tranny... I think it also lists the shop where it was built (about $3k if I recall correctly).

Check it out:

Viper,

There are a number of wrecking yards with Fieros here. Since it has started cooling down to the 80's I plan to do some junkyarding. LMK if you want to get together.

AgaricX,

Deming is not the excitement capital of the world, but it does have the "Duck Races" and of course the "Water" If you ever get by El Paso, LMK.
