I asked this question once a long time ago and got no answer. Does anyone know of a GM
part number for the small hood louvres that are sometimes seen on a mid-80's Transam? If you don't know of a part number, do you know of a dealer that has them? I've seen pictures of Fieros with them installed over the radiator area. Today it was so hot on the way home from work on the expressway, that my coolant started getting very warm if I got up to 85MPH for a few seconds to pass someone. I have a 1984 SE.
Usually it's not a problem but in hot weather it is. I think that the cooling system would probably work a lot better with a better exit route for the hot air from the radiator.

Just ask a dealer for GTA hood louvers from a late 80's trans am. They are still available new from pontiac and cost $35 each. If your dealer doesn't have them in stock, he can easily order them.

I have the numbers at work, because I am ordering a set next week. If you could drop me an e-mail Monday I could give them to you. I just called and asked for them, and the guy gave me the part numers (one for each side). I will try and add a post here monday if I am not too busy at work.

Just a thought, I saw a Sunbird turbo in a junkyard with some pretty cool looking louvers on its hood. I don't know if they'd fit the Fiero's hood curve, but they did look neat. The car also had a very cool "Pontiac Turbo" steering wheel.
