I am still wondering what to do with my 88 GT turbo. I was wondering what kind of horse power that I can get from an 2.8 and still use my turbo. Also the power from an 3.1 and 3.4 and have the turbo also.

Thanks,

Jack

do you HAVE a turbo? i mean, a turbo sitting there looking at you or a turbo installed on an engine?? or is this another "i'm gonna get a turbo" thread/question like many others. if you have a turbo, i will gladly buy it from you. heck, i'll even pay shipping!!

About 200, 228, and 230 HP with a 2.8, 3.1, and 3.4 engine and a Garrett T51 42-3 turbocharger with everything else stock. This was done on Dyno2000. The 3.4 has the most torque.

Is that rear wheel Hp? I would think so. I know that Design One Sytems added a turbo to a 3.4 and he estimates about 275 Hp at the crank at 11 psi (I believe). Of course he built the 3.4 specifically for the turbo...

No that is flywheel horsepower with a stock motor. I only did this on a dyno so the figures are only approximate. It shows the stock 2.8 at 134 flywheel horsepower with no turbo, which is almost right on with the factory rating of 135 horsepower.

80's boy yes I have a Turbo on my 88 GT. That is why my screen name is 88 Fiero GT Turbo. It is a Miller Woods setup and no I am not interested in selling it.

Later,
Jack
