It fits just fine. All you need to do the swap is a 10 foot phneumatic(sp) shoe horn. Make sure you grease up the engine bay real well so it will slide riight in.

You made the right choice. An Allison is a very smooth runnning engine. However, you'll need to mount a "power bulge" fairing on the right side fender about 3 feet wide to accomodate the carb and various other supercharger related bits. You could duplicate the "war emergency" wire gate of the airplanes' throttle quadrant by putting a stiffer spring on the last bit of throttle travel. Tire wear might be a problem also...
Geeez, you guys, I was in the Air Force - Crew Chief on one and two engine fighter/interceptors, I can help you with this one!! an option to the Allison is also the General Electric J-79 engine - it has afterburner for quick starts off the line.
Anyway, it's a very simple install, line up engine properly and place Fiero on top - that's all there is to it. Oh, make sure it is pointed the direction you want to go, CAUSE YOU AIN'T COMIN' BACK!!!
Sounds to me like another "rocket car" legend in the making.. And wouldnt it be better to put the engine on top of the fiero? Tie it down with some super duty bungee cords, and light it with a long tnt wick...WooooooHoooooo... Hey who wants the first ride??

exactly!! (actually, you could attach it with velcro but it might be a little risky) but don't forget the hood scoops - that's the air intake, you know.........(I think George at the Fiero Shop has some.......)
