Does anyone have any measurements as to the size of the space inbetween the false and the real firewalls. I want to flush mount my amp, but don't know where to cut or if there is even enough room. Dimensions and/or pics would be greatly appreciated. I need depth as well as height and width.

Monkeyman, almost all of the firewall is only one layer of sheetmetal thick plus about an inch of insulation.

I, started wondering if you meant the space between the upolstery behind the seat and the sheetmetal firewall. If that's the case there is no space there.

Monkeyman, do a search on Fierosounds posts. I think he's the one that has the subs mounted in the firewall. I know he has a website but I don't know what the link is.
On he's website he shows how he did it.

the link is on http://www.fieroproject.com/ which, btw, is now up on the new server..

I hadn't planned on going into the metal firewall, just through the carpeted one. If I can't make it completely flush, that's OK. I just don't want to mount it to the carpet. I'd like a little better look than that. My amp isn't very thick, so I think that will work. Now I have to figure out a way to mount my CD changer on the other side. It'll never be flush (huge chassis), but I'd like to make it as invisible as possible. I thought about mounting it the same way as my amp (screwed to the metal firewall) but then I don't know how I'd eject the CD magazine. Any ideas???
