I recently blew the motor in my 87GT, the block has a large hole, the crank, rods, pistons, etc are all shot. I have rebuilt the heads with new valves, springs etc. and intake system, new sensors, etc. etc. Now I need a shortblock, I thought about a 3.1 stroker but need a block, rods, pistons, and crank. Should I go ahead and jump to the 3.4??? I think the only extra cost would be the starter mounting hole relocation. Any thoughts?
