I have started doing a "mild" restoration of my Gt and have noticed rust in a few places. Such as the subframe supports for the front and rear fascia's, as well as the plate underneath the radiator. this is all a surface rust situation, does anyone have any good tips for removeing this? I have brushed it down and applied navel jelly, however it came back. Instead, should I apply a rust inhibitor such as a krylon product (after i brush it to the metal)? Help!!

Try rust converter. It turns the rust black and it also covers the treated area with a protective coating-the stuff actually works

I'd go with Phil! I did the entire under carriage with rust preventor that turns rust into a black primer, then went over that with 3 cans of rubberized undercoating.
