T O P I C R E V I E WpttransamdriverSo I installed my lowering springs and the back went down, no unsightly fender gap anymore, but the front....... nothing seems to have changed I haven't driven it yet because I don't yet have my custom axels for the engine swap I did. Does it settle or fix itself somehow? or do you have to chop the springs down some? Anybody know what to do here?GraterFangI don't have the eibachs personally but, yes, the car will settle when you first start driving it again. I wouldn't concern yourself about it until then.CarcenomyYeah it'll settle down. These are my results with the Eibachs and Konis, no other suspension mods. Wheels are 235/35R19.[This message has been edited by Carcenomy (edited 06-24-2012).]zmcdonalDo you have rubber or poly bushings up front? If I recall from reading other threads if you have rubber the control arm bolts need to be tightened with the suspension loaded, for it to settle properly. I know when I had my Eibachs installed there was a definite difference in height before I drove it. CarcenomyMine's still rubber at the front... crikey, does that mean it might go lower when I install my poly?! pttransamdriverOh thanks I feel better now the picture helps a lot too. Should I do polys up front? I heard that they squeak and aren't recommended, I want to put polys up front but I'd like to know all what you guys recommend. If your rubber bushings are installed improperly, that could happen. But otherwise, no.To the OP: if you have some ramps, you can drive the car up on them to give you room to get at the A-arm bolts. Loosen the bolts up a little bit (just enough so they'll turn in place), then bounce the front end up&down a bit. That should get rid of the pre-load in the rubber bushings. That said, the front end on mine was also a bit high when I installed the Eibach springs. But that was because I couldn't get the rubber spring cushions fully seated on the suspension cross-member. After driving around a bit, they settled in.
