Fiero Scammer watch out! (Page 1/42)

Hey guys, I am new to pennocks because I am a new fiero fanatic! However, I bought an engine from a DAVID BOWDEN. Please people, stay away from purchasing products by the con artist. I payed 1700 dollars for a 3.4 that was "rebuilt". I got a very poor conditioned engine, that was missing many parts and had a dirt filled intake. Not to mention I payed in full and didnt recieve the engine until nine days later. And as I said unassembled and missing many parts. I am out so much money right now from buying parts and paying mechanics to install it is saddening. I dont want anyone else to run into a similar problem.
He has refused to refund me for the engines return, and has refused to send parts or help my mechanics.

That's a crock of BS. That engine sat in my garage for a month. I personally pulled it out of the car. It was an exceptionally well rebuilt engine with $3000 worth of receipts and I pulled the oil pan just to make sure. The crank was balanced, it was packed with pre-lube, and even plasti-guaged. When David bought the car, all of those parts you were given were in the trunk of the car, dirty, and dis-assembled. Don't you tell me that you didn't know the parts were dirty and not on the engine because I was standing there when he told you that on the phone.
Just because the PO installed a dirty intake on a brand new engine doesn't make it a bad engine. It makes the PO a moron. YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE BUYING AND YOUR MECHANIC IS RIPPING YOU OFF AND YOU'RE TAKING IT OUT ON DAVID! He's sent you several boxes of extra parts, bought you new parts in an attempt to make you happy, and all because he's a stand up guy and felt bad that you weren't happy. He didn't have to do that and now you write this????

Mental note: Don't sell anything to this idiot.

Oh ya and you know what david sent to me then? I would love to see the reciepts. You going to send them to me? Also I DIDNT KNOW they were dirty. NOR did I know they would be disassembled. You dont send someone a disassembled engine.

Not to mention the wiring harness was broke along with the water pump and it came with no valves or bolts. Bad mechanic. Bad ethics.
fieroguy123 JUL 30, 08:40 PM
He sold a LONG BLOCK. Do you know what that means. It's a rebuilt long block. An assembled block and heads. That's what you got. If David had paid me to mount all of the accessories, repaint the valve covers and plenum, install the wiring harness, etc. There's no way you would have ever purchased it for $1700.00. Put on your big boy pants and learn something about cars man. You're paying a freaking muffler shop to install an engine in a fiero. If you had a clue, you would never let anybody other than a fiero specific mechanic install your engine. What you didn't think you would have to pay them to put all of those parts on? Did you really expect a 100% completely assembled, ready to drop in rebuilt engine for that price, shipped? No you didn't, because I was standing there when he told you that.
Listen pal, you're new here. I'm not. I have a reputation as a very stand-up guy on this forum and NOBODY has ever had a beef with me in the past. Going off on you is way out of character for me and everyone here knows it. Basically you should just give it up now, because if everyone sees me standing up for David, they know it's because we're right and your full of S$%T. I don't normally butt into other peoples business, but you're so far off base here that something had to be said.

Edit to add: Who wants to take bets on how long it takes this thread to make it to the trash can???

Well David the shop has two master mechanics who know more about cars than most people do. More than you know apparently sending an engine with missing parts. But it's something that will be easily settled. Secondly big boy pants is funny because I would invite you to come to MI and we can see whos pants settle this issue.

Really? You wanna take this to the play ground? Grow up man. I'm done with you, I said what I needed to say. End of discussion. Only a child would turn this into a physical matter when your problem isn't even with me.

Didnt think so. And by the way David. It says your hometown under your name. Indi huh? I know its you your not fooling anyone. I told you I'll make sure everyone knows your a con.

Can't we have nice things?

Hahaha. Master mechanics at a muffler shop? This economy must really got them down. I'm pretty sure if I was a "Master Mechanic" for a living, Grand Rapids is one of the last places I'd be.

Hell, the guy at Firestone who installs tires and brakes for a living, didn't even bleed my brakes right, so now I have to do it. I highly doubt the guy at Big Al's Muffler is going to install your engine right.
