This is a different animal from any of my other guitars, a Córdoba C3M, a classical guitar.
It has a bone nut and saddle and a solid cedar top, and is very dynamic and responsive. It highlights every small error in my fingering and plucking.



I love the wood inlaid rosette.



and the austere but elegant detail on the headstock and tuning machines.



My classical repertoire is severely lacking, so I will not offend anyone's senses by posting a sound clip at this time, but I am working to remedy that situation.

Yeah, classical guitars, like violins are art. The binding, top and bottom is Pau Ferro with a triple layer purfling.

They are also built very light so as not to dampen the resonance. This guitar is 3lbs 2oz as compared to the EJ200 on the left, which weighs 5lbs 9oz and the 5 string electric bass on the right which is a whopping 10lbs 9oz.

OK, finally a sound sample, just a bit of phrygian noodling.

I put on a fresh set of strings, D'Addario EJ-45s and installed a KNA NG-1 pickup.

The pickup is through the right channel and on the left is an Audio Technica AT2021 small diaphragm condenser at the 12th fret.

Recorded with Ardour on Debian Gnu/Linux, no EQ and just a touch of reverb.

When it comes to classical guitars, there is not a whole lot of variation in design. Kind of like all violins look alike. And unless you are going to spend thousands of dollars, Yamaha and Cordoba are the two best choices.
