Amtrak and others bought them.

They also owned Rotax and started Can-Am motorcycles, but sold them along with the snowmobile business to Bain Capital, shortly after Romney left Bain. It was Rotax and Can-Am where I first became aware of Bombardier.

Not recently though. Amtrak's newest locomotives were made by Siemens and the new ones on order will be made by Siemens and French manufacturer Alstom. Recent railcars were made by Talgo and CAF; both Spanish firms. The new Acela trains will be made by Alstom.

According to the BRP website (https://www.brp.com/en/our-brands.html), they own Ski-Doo and Lynx sleds, Sea-Doo PWC, Evinrude outboard motors, Alumacraft/Telwater/Manitou boats and Can-Am on and off road vehicles as well as the Rotax engines that come in the Can-Am on road vehicles (Spyder and Ryker).

BRP was sold to Bain in 2003. It is no longer associated with the company that made airplanes.

Once again the free market has spoken and the weak are rightfully culled from the herd.

You should read the all the anti-US hate when Trump put duties on Bombardier because of the "investment" from the government of Quebec.

Airbus did a smart move and moved manufacturing to the US of the A220.

That's standard here. It's called transfer payment. The entire country pours money at the federal government, then the feds pour almost 1/2 of that to the Quebec government which uses it to give subsidies to their companies.

There are a lot of companies who base there solely to take advantage of the free chit system.
