Primary Point of View (Page 3/15)

No far-reaching implications.

I don't know, something about Fareed Zakaria's 4+ minutes video presentation just took my fancy. He seemed clear-eyed and lucid. And "on point" with the numbers and the Pie Chart.

I didn't know that Bernie had used "2030" in talking about a timeline for achieving a Zero Emissions power grid for the U.S.

That's unrealistic.

So, some talking head's eyes "took your fancy" and you decided that you wanted to tell the world by including some random energy consumption graphs in a thread about the Democratic primaries? I'm going to guess that this is not one of those "straight" messages that you refered to in another thread.
(no, this is a rhetorical question. It does not require an answer)

Bernie Sanders (it should go without saying) is part of the Primary process.

"What makes the 2020 election historic for climate change." Google on that and you will likely retrieve a fairly recent column from Axios(.com)

I could move it to some other Topic (thread), if that be your preference. And delete all of our back and forth about it. At least my part of that. Just change all of my messages here into ". . ." The SERVPRO treatment ... "Like It Never Even Happened."

I see that you're back to openly expressing your homoerotic fantasies about media personalities....

So are cars, cell phones and liquor stores.

All you had to do was give it some context, something like: “Here is an article which makes a good case that Bernie Sandals’ energy policy is not viable. I think that his environmental stance will ever increasingly prove to be an albatross around his neck, in the upcoming election cycle.”

Then I could reply with something like: “I don’t think most leftists are swayed by facts.”

And you could follow up with: “Who you callin’ a leftist, boy?”

See how that works?

Oh, and as regards the environment, I’m all for it, I’m glad we have it, I can’t imagine living without it.

So I could have provided MORE context.

Nice! It's like we've been transported back in time and become the characters in this somewhat dated GEICO commercial. You're all about MORE.

Bernie and Joe are both six feet tall. Mini Mike, Mayor Pete and Lizzy Warren are all 5'8" and Klobuchar is 5'4". No matter how you arrange them, Joe and Bernie are going to look like freakish giants in Vegas, tonight.

I would watch if it weren't for Trump's rally tonight.
williegoat FEB 20, 10:48 PM
Between Joe's "Dog faced pony soldier" and Mini Mike's "Horse faced lesbian", this season is shaping up to be a delightful deluge of zoomorphic zingers.

And these people accuse Trump of being less than civil.

I thought I'd mention this, just in case someone tries to tell you the democratic primaries are more than just a dog and pony show.

Sanders is pulling out all the stops. Out on the campaign trail in his daisy dukes, courting the gay vote...

President Trump has just appointed Richard Grenell as the Acting Director of National Intelligence or DNI. It's the first selection of an openly gay man or woman to a Cabinet-level office in U.S. history. Grenell, who is the U.S.Ambassador to Germany, will have the Acting DNI role on top of his continuing duties as the State Department's "top banana" in Germany. This NBC News report describes Grenell as the "architect" of a U.S.-led effort to seek the decriminalization of homosexuality in the 68 countries around the world where it is punishable by law.

quote
Since Grenell's efforts were announced almost a year ago exactly, just one country has decriminalized homosexuality: Botswana, where the high court overturned the ban in June as part of a legal challenge that started long before 2019, according to Ryan Thoreson, an LGBTQ researcher for Human Rights Watch.
