I just reach in behind it and push it out. Once I had to use a stick (with a balled-up wad of cloth taped to the end to spread-out the force) to reach it.

Have seen the heat gun trick while pushing the dimple out work (depends on the dimple) but, be careful with that heat gun, the results of too much heat can be expensive.

It honestly looks like I can push it out. Any advice on buffing out the minor scratches, what do I need to buy?

I'm too uncafinated right now, but search YouTube. There are Vida on how to do it with a blow dryer. Heat it and it pops right out.

I use a heat gun, but possible to use a good hair dryer also. Ive fixed some pretty messed up bumpers. Dont know how hot water works...seems a little hard to buy that. Dont always believe stuff you see fixed on YouTube. I dont know how many headlights ive had to REfix or replace because someone tried a method seen on YouTube. One tried a drill and WD40 on his Mercedes. I had to replace that $1000 set of headlites. He melted big gouges in them.
