Another way to say exactly the same thing as above, but just thought I'd throw in here:

"Holding a grudge keeps your own wound fresh." ~ Unknown

HAGO!

Same coin..other side:

Revenge is mine...sayeth the Lord.....
and:
Revenge is a dish best served cold.

After all.....there ARE three sides to every story....your side....my side....and the truth.

HAGO!

Happiness is not the responsibility of others. polluting your mind with regret and holding a grudge will leave no room for anything else.
Wounds can not heal if you do not remove the cause.

All depends...I am a BIG believer in vengeance in certain circumstances, and sometimes that grudge pays off years and years later...and pays off BIG time. Trust me on this one. ...and admit it, there IS a certain pleasure in watching your enemy crushed like a bug and suffering. Just keep the salt handy to pour on them.

One of my sigs on another forum..."If you want forgiveness go to church. They might forgive you. I wont"

I hold a grudge in an iron -clad chest with ornate filigree on the hinges and two small holes where it can stare out at me with it’s beady little eyes. Every now and then, when I think the grudge might be nodding off, I will pick up the chest and shake it violently.

On special occasions, I will place the grudge in shackles, then suspend it from the rafters and play Abba records until it writhes in pain and begs for mercy.

Isn't that how it's done?

You don't have to forgive to let a grudge go, its just as easy to not give a **** about them.

Those who do not remember and learn from history are bound to repeat it.

IOWs remember who and why or be prepared to be a victim again.

Forgiveness is earned, forgetfulness is deadly.

Great thread ! Many great responses.

I forgive (maybe, usually) but I still hold a grudge.
