Anyone interested in trapping or otherwise ridding my premises of semiaquatic vermin? (Page 1/13)
maryjane DEC 17, 01:24 AM
Seriously.
I have a problem with beavers. They are plugging up the overflow of my ponds and I now have water in places I should not have. I've cleaned the drains out 4 times since Thanksgiving and they are plugged back tight the next day.
Texas law allows for the eradication of nuisance animals by landowners thru any number and by any means on their own private property.

quote
Landowners or their agents may take nuisance fur-bearing
animals in any number by any means at any time on that
person’s land without the need for a hunting or trapping
license. However, fur-bearing animals or their pelts taken
for these purposes may not be retained or possessed
by anyone at any time except licensed trappers during
the lawful open season and possession periods.

I am not physically able to take care of this right now.
Anyone interested?

If you take out the damn again maybe run a few chains down so you can just hook up to a tractor and pull it out if they build again?

You need some of those feral hogs to root them out for ya.

Wish I lived close enough to be of help aside from badly done comic relief.

I would need to brush up on my 'homework'. I first wonder if it could be done in one day/weekend. I am thinking not. What is a beavers natural predators ? Why the (seemingly) sudden influx of beaver ? Where could they be released, if trapped ? What help can the county agricultural agent be ?
I am sure there are other things I should consider.

The hell with Don's gun's, Call me when the sun comes up down your way and I will take care of those pesky beavers from here.

I didn't get to kill any golffers this year as I had eradicated them all last year so I have an itchy trigger finger.

One warning, don't go outside between sunrise and an hour later, that is one long shot, even for me.

Steve
