Please click on images to see larger version:
Front F40 transaxle bracket in Fiero. All of these brackets are made of 11gauge steel.I am also proud of the deep flanging. This flanging makes the final bracket stronger than 3/8 inch plate and more ridged.

This bracket was first made to fit this transmission. If it looks like it will fit good.If it doesn't another one is on the way.I have found over the years of making brackets. that G.M.has more than one casing for each transmission.Pix on the next F40 front bracket soon.
Front F40 transaxle bracket using O.E.M. Fiero mounts

Front F40 Bracket in unmodified subframe. All of these pix are in the same Fiero (cradle)

F40 rear transaxle bracket

F40 rear transaxle bracket

3800 sc V6 motor mount bracket.Again made of 11 gauge steel with heavy flanging.

3800 sc V6 motor mount bracket. At least as strong as O,E.M.

3800 sc V6 motor mount bracket. Not shown is the multiple mounting holes, for either standard G.M.position or Fiero position.

Thelinsells@cox.net...all brackets shown are $100 each .The special bracket to mount intermediate shaft (SAAB) from F40 and 3800 is $150

Do you have a similar set of pics for your F23 trans brackets?

Nice job!

Do your brackets place the trans with the block mounting face in the same position (left to right) as the stock engine/trans combo?
I'll likely be contacting you regarding some F23 stuff, after I get the trans here.

Thanks!

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but I know you'll be watching. I picked up a LSJ w/ 5 speed, and then found a SAAB 2.0 w/ a F40 and grabbed it too. Since the F40 is the ECOTEC one, I plan to put it behind the LSJ, do your mounts for the ECOTEC allow for this? Thanks in advance.

. In mounting the F23 or the the F40 trans the base line of the bell housing is the clue. The trans must be in the right place,or the axles won't fit .After the trans then the engine can be placed. So the order of the swap must be trans then motor.Once that is done then you can think about intermediate shaft,If you are going to use one or not. My feelings are that the engine /trans stay on the same bell housing base line.If they are not then the are pdc.Did I answer your question?R.T.
