87-88 Gas Tank Nice Shape (Page 1/1)

I have a gas tank in nice shape out of an 88 GT. There is some surface rust, but nothing close to rot. I imagine it could be cleaned up or painted easily. I just don't want to do that before selling it, and have it appear that I'm hiding something. Look at the pictures, I'm willing to post more if needed.
I'm looking for $200. It's located in Buffalo NY. I'm willing to ship, although I would need a few days to wrap it in bubble wrap and make sure it's good to ship.
As a frame of reference, FedEx quoted it as $76 to Los Angles and $51 to Orlando. Dimensions are roughly 12x12x53 and it weights almost 20lbs

What is the rust level inside the tank? It appears to have quite a bit of residue on the baffle plastic which makes it look as though it was rusty.

Put an ad in the Rochester Craigslist, it should sell fast. I get calls all the time from central NY for Fiero fuel tanks. I had one girl back in the fall willing to pay anything for one.

Here are a few pictures of the sides of the tank. My phone is too big to go into the tank, this is the best I could do, unfortunately.
