Possibly looking to buy a started , stalled or abandoned 3.8 SC conversion car. At a reasonable price. Not in a hurry , wanting to see what Is out there here. Condition of the car is not important since I will be putting it in my 88 GT. So let me know what you got???

Keep an eye on Craigslist in your area...the supercharged w-bodies (Grand Prix GTP, Bonneville SSEI and Buick Park Ave Ultra) are showing up more often, and cars with around 100k miles are going for real cheap lately. Keep in mind these engines have extremely long lives, if you do the basic gaskets, seals and sensors during your swap, it will go at least another 100k miles. I like these engines, they were put into executive type cars, not muscle cars, so most never got abused..and the internals can be left alone.
I recommend buying a whole car, I got mine for $500 plus 75 for tow from next town, and stripped everything to a bare shell. Kept what I needed, and sold the rest on CL. Basically got my stuff for free.
Building your car this way might be easier than taking over another's unfinished project...cheaper too.

I can't remember if I showed you the gray 1986 se with a 3800 sc/4 speed. I have last time you were here but I might be putting it up for sale soon.
It is a running car but doesn't like to idle. Might just need reprogrammed. The engine sounds very healthy.
The car is mostly complete minus lower quarter panels, rockers, seats and wing.
The harness is professionally done. FYI- this would also supply most parts needed to convert to stick shift also.
Send me a message or text if you would like more info about it.
I'm thinking $2000 like it sits.
