I unhooked my speedometer plug and found that pin B and pin D had metal sockets but no wire. it appears that they are held in place by a white hollow tube? I assume this is so the connection may be a jump only applied to the speedometer tang. I cant believe this is that difficult to solve my speedo issues

B-D are not used and shouldn't be shorted.

All you need is remove the "pins" from the plug. Not sure just how and have nothing to look at what type of plug.
