What have you guys done with them? Mine have the usual rust... Wire brush and black paint? Any recommendations?

The 'usual rust' is no doubt a result from chronic wet carpet.....so fix your leaks before you fix your seat rails.

Yes I know how it happened.... Already pulled the carpet to check floorpan... its actually fine and the leak was from a door seal... Solved now but it sat outside for a few months... (I just bought it from an estate sale) That's what caused it.. Either way other than that its in very good condition and other than light rust everything is fine for the seat.
Just looking for ideas to protect it going forward..

Did the same and sprayed with a mat black paint. You can break them down to facilitate the painting. They cleanup well.
You don't need floor leaks to have rust on the rails. Wet shoes, snow, rain, damp garage, parking outside, or just occasional condensation will put rust on the rails.[This message has been edited by Kevin87FieroGT (edited 11-08-2019).]
