Switching seats from passenger to driver? (Page 1/1)

I have heard that switching the passenger seat to the drivers seat is possible by swapping the hardware over. I haven't met anyone who actually has done it; anyone here do it? The reason I ask is that my passenger seat is perfect and and my driver's seat is worn (not too bad by some standards) and the cushioning is getting flat. I have found several perfect passenger seats over the last year but didn't buy them. I know have an opportunity to buy a very nice saddle color passenger seat and I was thinking about getting it. If you have done it how did you go about making the swap?

From ancient memory...

Bottom seat section are all the same just carefully punch holes in covers.
Top/back "Frame" has Welded hinge part on console side and not easy or impossible to switch side. But Top/back covers need new holes for latch part.
seat tracks are only one side of car.

I have one made mostly of right side parts w/ top/back frame for left years ago.

MrMikes has instructions for swapping seat bottoms.

That's an excellent instruction sequence from Mr. Mikes. I've done it without taking the upholstery off.
It's awkward getting the pivot pin clip out from one side and back in the other. The old holes are hidden against the console.
