Hello ther , I have a small problem with my 87 gt , I needed a new bumper so i found 2 really nice gt bumper covers at the local pick u pull about a month ago and i stored them in my garage, but went to check on them an found out that a box had placed on top of them causing the to get distored / bent on the sides,, i was so sad , it looked they melted lol. Is they any way to bring them back to shape again?? thanks for any help

You are in Redding...I would have thought that they were distorted by the heat in the summer....You can probably get them warmed up while supporting them in the basic shape and they will return to their proper shape.....Take your time and don't get them too hot (Not over 110 degrees)

(Side note; Every year since 1965 (except from 1979-1982) I have camped at Trinity lake just west of you.....and, if I wasn't vacationing there, I was probably at Lassen Volcanic just east of you)

The bottom of the bumper was sent to me curled up. I set it in the sun and all is fine.

I drive thru Lewiston every time I drive up to the lake.....I used to take Rush creek road but now that Estrellita marina is gone I launch at Fairview, so I take Trinity dam road...That is like my second home...Wish the lake would fill up better.......

Back in the 70s we drove over the old bridge towing out boat....It looked pretty rickety back then.......I'd be afraid to WALK on that bridge now!
