bought a new toy, 3.8 fiero off ebay. (Page 1/1)

picked this up for $2500 last week. it has a 3.8sc with 100k on the motor, all stock. it has no rust and coil overs in the rear. 1987

I have a couple other cars I was building a 3.8sc motor for so I already have a lot of go fast parts for the motor. So this motor will probably come out this winter and get the xpcam, tall stack intercooler, ls springs, ported and worked heads etc.. all the good stuff. I will be also doing a wide body for the car and swapping out the interior for a Lamborghini diablo interior I have in storage.

If I can get the pics to load you will see the car parked next to my 911 Carrera that I did a steel wide body on along with my own home made side skirts, roof scoop and modded custom front and rear bumpers and paint job. I say that to say I'm going to basically do the same thing to the fiero. this link is to the Porsche build which I did in 5 months in my garage. I'm thinking this fiero should be about the same time frame.

I have driven the fiero down the road to see how it felt and it gets up and goes ok but it handles sooooo bad I mean .. wow its so floaty. I'm wondering if something is wrong with the suspension. is there something I can do to make it handle a little more like the one its pictured next to lol that might be a tall order but its got to be able to handle better than it does now.

real quick.. I have had 4 fieros over the years, my second one I started the 3.8sc swap back in 2005 and never finished it. started a 3.4 build for one back in 2013.. never finished it. this one is already done and I'm going to make it quite an amazing car.

any suggestions are welcome

Thanks guys.. um and girls..

Look down at the bottom of the page for the Pennock's Image Poster. PIP is your friend, and ours. In a few years links to photobucket and the like will go nowhere but pictures posted with PIP will still be there

If you're running a Windows PC, use PIP to post images here. Max width - 1024 pixels. Max file size - 300 kb.

Thanks for posting that pic. I will get my old dell laptop out this weekend and hopefully get more pics posted.

That is my 99 carrera i just finished doing a couple months ago. If you look at a stock 911 you can see the rockers were changed, frt and rr bmprs and the roof scoop. The paint is “envy green”.

Im leaning towards doing this fiero for my wife... she likes the color of the porsche and kind of wants the fiero to be the same lol im pushing for saphire metallic blue . I pulled it into the garage last night and will start tearing it down soon. It will be pretty much getting the same mods as the porsche but will probably be faster after i redo the motor
