Why is this wheel style so hard to find? (Page 1/1)

I believe both American Racing and Eagle Alloy made them at one time. It was very popular in the late 80's to 90's.

But now it is no where, other than very used ones on Ebay. Maybe the style just went out of fashion.

If you have them...
Usually Alloys Rims have on back telling who make them etc. even w/o having any marks on front.
Look over whole back side because marks can be spread out.
Think some marks are required to meet Fed Rules so all should have something to ID maker and size at minimum.

(Steel wheel have them too but can be stamped anywhere.)

Because they are an old, outdated style. I believe mid to late 80's.

Check EvilBay. You can eventually find just about any old wheel there.

They look like Borbet Wheels. Might be available thru them directly. I have a set in my attic that I will check to see if they are the same.

Cragar wheels made those back in the early 90s. There was a local 88GT in my hometown that had them.

Really nice looking black GT with those chrome polished wheels.

I own 4 Oz rims 15" - 6.5" , finish is bad but no nicks. I have no idea how much they are worth.

A number of companies made this style but they all moved on about 25 years ago.

There is only a few styles of wheels that have lived long lives as trends never end.

The AR Estrella wheel is one of those that has endured.

I have a set of AR wheels that are very similar. I never owned this particular local Fiero, but I do have those wheels from that car. They're 7x16 and 35mm offset. Fit a Fiero quite nicely.

I had a set of those originally for my Fiero(s) as well... except now I use them on my Subie! It's handy having the same bolt pattern. (I don't bother using the center caps.)
