Anyone Lose A Fiero In The Missouri River? (Page 1/1)

These guys are a recovery team. Unfortunately they also find bodies in the cars they recover but this time, they find a Fiero.

License plate says "PEBLZ" if you lost your car

Both horn pads and the shift knob appear to sill be there. This car is good to go after a bit of cleaning!

Buff it out. Not.

Might get a few metal parts but is completely Totaled. Even Fiero body panels "rot" soaked for years.

Is worse then all "flood" cars that rots all electrics.
Horn paddles may look ok but contacts are likely crap. Might "clean" the metal contact only to break later as stress points "grow."

Somewhere on the forum there are pics of a Fiero that was pulled out of a canal or a reservoir, in Texas I think. It looked equally "rustic".

EDIT: Here it is:

With a license plate no. the owner should be able to be identified. My guess is that this car may have been stolen and then ditched in the river or it could be an "insurance job".

Being a local to this and driving across that bridge to get to Schwa motor sports or Ephkay here on the forum’s shop, I can say I’ve never seen the car. I work for a local insurance company and searched my records and didn’t find anything with that plate

When they wipe off the plate sticker in the video at 3:58:49, it says "1992" so I don't know if there would be any records of the car. I believe even the DMV deletes auto records after 7 years.

Yea I noticed that too but Missouri has a year of manufacture rule. Basically I can put a plate on from the plate era and they keep the same year sticker. So as long is it was registered as a historic vehicle it can legally have that plate in it. There is no way that car has been in the river since 92 just based on the condition of it.
