HELP finding my fiero's (Page 1/2)
rstadnick FEB 08, 09:12 PM
Looking to find my two 1988 Fiero Formulas. Rhode Island Let a friend take both cars to install two Caddy V8's. Man has cars and motors for a couple years with no progress. I was having some health issues making them a back issue at the time. Finally diagnosed as being ok, go to find out about my cars, man has died. Son says dead father's girlfriend let a nephew take my cars. Now the girlfriend is gone, don't know what is where. The two vin numbers are: 1G2PE119XJP201890 and 1G2PE1199JP207518. I know this sounds weird but you can't make a story like this up. Any information leading to finding them would be greatly appreciated. A check with local police showed that both vin numbers are not currently registered in Rhode Island. Thanks, again.

Did you file a police report? If the man never executed a mechanic’s lien on them then they’re legally still yours. If you have the titles report them as stolen. If you don’t have the titles and have no way of getting them then they’re gone.

There was Loyde Rascoe, aka FastFieros... but that's going back 10 years or so.

And then there was Dean Cain, aka Whodeanie, who also had some issues.

One of those names might ring a bell with the OP.

Heh heh... a baby picture of me would look more like this.

You may also check with 88databaseguy to see if he has them listed in his registry. It usually includes the location, whether it be in a junk yard or private ownership.

First talk to someone in law enforcement and perhaps a lawyer. Laws are weird and you may have nothing that can be done.
You could also run a Carfax on the cars and see if the registration has recently changed.
With the time frame so unknown its going to be harder to give good advice.

Why not order Carfax reports on the two of them to narrow down the search? See if they're still registered, and what state they may be in etc.

Also, random observation; the second vin of your's -- my Fiero's vin number is only 27 numbers after yours; 207545. Small world...

Good luck on your search!
